Sharpie Tie-Dye

What You Need:

• Pre-Washed White Shirt
• Rubbing Alcohol (91%)
• Liquid Dropper
• Small Plastic Cup
• Rubber Bands
• Variety of Colored Sharpies 

Procedure: 

1. Choose a spot to start and put your cup right side up and secure a rubber band around the cup rim holding the shirt tightly in place.
2. Pick your colors and create a small design in the center of the circle. (Keep your designs to the size of a quarter because the alcohol will make the colors spread.)
3. Using the dropper, drop about 10 drops of rubbing alcohol in the center of your design.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 in different places along the shirt to create a fun design. 
5. Heat set the colors by putting shirt into the dryer for 20-25 minutes before wearing.

RAWR! Watch out Jellystone Park has gone prehistoric! Get ready, grab your club and see if you can survive like a real caveman. Many challenging activities are waiting for you including the Stone-Age speedster relay, caveman bowling and the Dino-Demo! Also keep in mind that we have a larger than life saber tooth carp in Yogi Bear Lake!! Fred is just waiting for you to dip your toe into his lake! I wonder if there will be a brave enough caveman to challenge Fred and WIN!

What is a Special Moment and how do we recognize them at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park? 

Once you check-in at Jellystone, you will receive a guest packet that contains a "Special Moments" card which gives you a chance to recognize any special moments or positive experiences you encounter while staying at the Park. :) All you have to do is fill out the "Special Moments" card and bring it back to the Ranger Station to be entered into a raffle for a $50.00 price at the end of each month! :)

• Mr and Mrs. Perkins- "Speedy and Chipmunk made our first camping trip with our new edition especially memorable, from taking pictures of the family to telling us the best times to visit and teaching us how to start a fire. They were amazing! We will definitely be back."

• Justice Family- "It's not just a campground its like being with family all the time; they treat us just like their family and it is the best place to stay."

• Ronin Johnson (age:3) - "Ronin reached up and took Cindy Bear's hand when we were headed back to the ranger station and she let go to hug another child then reached back for Ronin's hand. He was beaming! She held his hand all the way to the ranger station! He is in love! He invited her to come play at his Cabin the rest of the day; he called her his girlfriend! :) Thank you for taking that extra moment with him!"

Our Yogi Bear Team strives to deliver excellent service in all that we do, so we love to hear about all positive experiences and special moments because its the little things that bring the biggest amount of joy to our hearts!

Rainy Day? Don't worry there is plenty of FUN ahead :) 

Card Games are the best way to have fun on a rainy day and the whole family can participate! :)

You can also play games like charades, which is where you cut up pieces of paper and list things that can be acted out (examples: monkey, airplane, golf, octopus) and the audience has to guess what you are acting out before the time runs out! The hard part is the person acting CAN NOT TALK!!!! 

Also try TWISTER :) it is a blast and is a game that is sure to bring a lot of laughs! 

Making Homemade Playdough is another great activity for a rainy day! It is easy and FUN! 

What you need: 

• 3 Cups of flour
• 1 1/2 cups of salt
• 2 tbsp cream of tartar
• 3 tbsp of oil
• 3 cups of water
• Let the salt dissolve in the water and then stir all ingredients together over medium heat until the dough pulls away from the side of the pot. BE SURE TO STIR CONSTANTLY 
• Take out the dough and let it cool
• Knead dough until it is soft and resembles playdough
• PLAY! :)

Campfire Cones 

Campfire cones are absolutely delicious! All you need is a waffle cone, your favorite melt in your mouth chocolate, marshmallows,  peanuts and caramel to have the perfect late night treat! All you have to do is wrap the cone in tin foil, fill it up with the goodies and roast it over the open fire! 

Marshmallow Goodness

Delicious strawberries covered in marshmallow fluff roasted over the open campfire! One of Yogi Bear's favorite treats! Better watch out he just might snatch it from you! :)
