A Tip for Momma :) Breakfast in the Outdoors

Breakfast in the Outdoors!

Muffin Tin Egg Recipe is a quick and fun way to make a delicious breakfast for a large or small group of people while camping outdoors!

What You Need:
  • Bacon
  • Eggs
  • Muffin Tin
Directions:
  1. First cut each strip of bacon in half.
  2. Layer 2 slices of bacon in the bottom of the tin cups making a little bacon "basket".
  3. Place the tin over the grill and cook the bacon to your perfection.
  4. Crack one egg over each tin cup and then place the tin over the grill until the eggs are cooked.
  5. Your done! This makes a bacon and egg "muffin" that you can eat while on the go, maybe to enjoy some canoeing or kayaking on Yogi Bear's Lake!
If you want to make your "muffin" a little more elaborate you can add ham or sausage into the egg yolk before you cook it over the grill... YUMMY!

Peanut Butter Pancakes

What you need:
  • Jar of Peanut Butter
  • Bag of your favorite chocolate chips
  • Butter
  • Pancake Mix (The one that you just have to add water too!- quick and easy for campers)
  • Water
  • Cooking Pan
Directions:
  1. Add water to the Pancake mix until the mix is smooth with no lumps.
  2. Add 1 cup of peanut butter to the mix.
  3. Stir :)
  4. Add as many chocolate chips as you wish! You can never have too many :) (1/2 to 1 cup will be perfect)
  5. Stir :)
  6. Add butter to the cooking pan
  7. Cook to perfection :) Make sure you flip the pancake every once in a while so it doesn't stick! (When you see the bubbles start to form its time to flip)
  8. ENJOY!! You probably wont ever need any syrup!

Not Just a Team, But a Family

This weekend our Yogi Bear Team took a day trip to better serve our customers and strengthen our team. We first hand experienced the interesting features of the Linville Caverns, the beauty of Toms Creek Falls and ate at one of the most breathing taking restaurants in the area.
During our Tom's Creek Falls adventure we discovered the most beautiful waterfall, a hidden mining cave and beautiful hiking trails that fit the needs of almost every hiking expertise as well as new timers to the hiking experience. I really enjoyed the hike because you are completely surrounded by beauty and nature, it is peaceful and not a sole in sight but your family. It is a great get-a-way spot to bring your family closer together!

During our Linville Caverns adventure we saw tiny bats, heard interesting stories about the history of the caverns, received dreadrocks (have to go there so you can figure out what this is :) ), and got to see the most breathtaking rock formations underground. Linville Caverns is a must see while you visit our town because not only do you get to venture into the caverns, but the ride to get there is beautiful! It only takes about 35- 40 minutes to get there from Yogi Bear Jellystone Park and you drive to see that you are completely surrounded by mountains. The Blue Ridge Parkway is not 10 minutes from their site! Check it out: www.linvillecaverns.com/

The Mountain View Restaurant is located in Spruce Pine, NC (about 30-40 minutes from Yogi Bear) and it is now for "dinning with a million dollar view." The casual dining area is warm and welcoming with panoramic views of the mountains that are simply spectacular. The restaurant is family owned just like US! :) Check it out: http://mountainviewrest.com/
